B’wood at shaadi for 25 cr!

Some of Bollywood’s biggest stars are set to bring glamour to a Delhi wedding this week, if buzz is to be believed.

While stars attending a wedding or performing at one for a fee is not new, DT has learnt that for the first time ever, more than `25 crore (at least) is being spent on having Bollywood at this Delhi wedding. And expected during the week-long celebrations are names like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. They are expected to attend Monica Arora and Mayank Jain’s wedding. Both belong to prominent gutka-business owning families.

The red carpet was rolled out yesterday itself at a bash where Zayed Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes and Neil Nitin Mukesh were expected to be present. We hear that Zayed was paid `1 crore for attending. The next function on November 16, being hosted by the groom’s side, will see Dia Mirza, Fardeen Khan, Saif and Kareena in attendance.

The other big celebration’s on November 17, when Katrina Kaif performs for an hour and is pocketing a cool `1 crore for it, we hear! The wedding’s on November 18 and Salman Khan will pack a punch at this one for `2 crore. Other names expected to add glitter to the guest list include Lara Dutta, Urmila Matondkar, Raveena Tandon Thadani and Sushmita Sen.

For the reception on November 19, King Khan is expected to be among the guests. While Shah Rukh’s apparently being paid `4 crore for his presence, almost all of tinseltown is expected. It seems that the families have gone the whole hog in making this a big fat gutka wedding!

The trousseau too, is exclusive couture. While the bride’s clothes have been done by Manish Malhotra and Manav Gangwani, those for the boy’s side are by Manav and Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. We also hear that a certain luxury mall in the city has seen some stupendous sales, especially of their international brands, as a considerable amount has been spent on selecting gifts for the guests.
