Deathly Hallows’ arrives as end nears for Potter
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,” the next-to-last installment in the film franchise about the teen wizard, premieres Thursday in London ahead of its theatrical release next week.
The adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s seventh and final novel comes in two installments, with the second due out next July.
“Part 1” sends Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and pals Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) off in search of artifacts that are the key to the power of dark Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
“Part 2” will bring to a close one of Hollywood’s most remarkable film franchises as Warner Bros. raced to bring all of Rowling’s novels to the screen before the young stars outgrew their roles.
